Space Switch: Neon Planets  ·  Last updated 8 August 2026

Space Switch is a single-player arcade game. There is no account, no login and no server of ours. Your progress lives on your phone and nowhere else. The one thing that leaves your device is the advertising identifier used to show ads, and this page explains exactly what that is and how to turn it off.

Who this is about

This policy covers the Android application Space Switch: Neon Planets (package com.spaceswitch.game), referred to below as “the game”. It is published by an independent developer, contactable at mahbooby16@gmail.com.

What the game stores on your device

The following is written to your phone's private app storage. It is never sent anywhere, it is not backed up to any service we control, and no one but you can read it.

You can erase all of it at any time with Settings → Reset Progress, or by uninstalling the game.

What leaves your device

The game shows advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. To do that, the Google Mobile Ads SDK accesses your device's Advertising ID — a resettable identifier Android provides for exactly this purpose — along with technical information such as your device model, operating system version, and coarse region derived from your IP address. This is used to select and measure ads.

DataWhyWho receives it
Advertising ID Selecting and measuring advertisements Google AdMob
Device and app technical data (model, OS version, app version, coarse region from IP) Ad delivery and fraud prevention Google AdMob
Everything else — score, stars, suits, discoveries, settings Stored on your device only Nobody

Google's handling of this data is governed by their own policies: Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from apps that use its services. Data in transit is encrypted over HTTPS by the Google Mobile Ads SDK.

We collect nothing ourselves. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporting service, no email list, no cloud save and no server belonging to this game. We never see your score, your device, or that you played at all.

Advertisements, and how to limit them

Ads appear in two places: a banner on the home and game-over screens, and an optional video you can choose to watch to revive a run or to receive bonus stars. The video ad is never forced — it plays only if you tap the button.

You can limit ad tracking at any time, without uninstalling the game:

Notifications

The game can send up to two reminders a day about worlds waiting to be discovered on your next level. Daily Discoveries is switched on by default, but no reminder can be sent until you grant the notification permission Android asks for on first launch. Decline it, or revoke it later in Android's own settings, and the game switches the setting back off by itself. You can also turn it off at any time in Settings → Daily Discoveries, which cancels every pending reminder immediately.

These are local notifications: they are scheduled by the app on your phone, from your saved level. No server is involved, nothing about you is sent anywhere in order to produce them, and turning the setting off cancels every pending one immediately.

Permissions the game requests

PermissionWhat it is for
INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE Loading advertisements. The game itself plays fully offline.
AD_ID Access to the Advertising ID, required by the Google Mobile Ads SDK.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS Daily Discoveries reminders. Requested on first launch; declining it turns the setting off.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED Keeps already-scheduled reminders alive after a restart.
VIBRATE Haptic feedback during play. Can be switched off in Settings.

Children

The game is not directed at children and is not part of the Google Play Families programme. It is rated for a general audience, and its target audience is declared as 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age — the game has no fields in which to enter any. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this game, contact us and we will help, though in practice there is nothing for us to hold: none of it reaches us.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct or erase on request. Everything is under your direct control:

If you are in the EEA or UK, the legal basis for processing the advertising identifier is your consent, collected through the consent form described above. Elsewhere, it is our legitimate interest in funding a free game.

Data retention

Game data stays on your device until you reset progress or uninstall. We retain nothing, because we receive nothing. Advertising data is retained by Google under their own retention schedules, described in their policies.

Changes to this policy

If the game changes in a way that affects this policy — a new SDK, a new permission, anything that alters what leaves your device — this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
